Why I do this

My name is Farouk, but most of my friends call me ‘rouk for short (rhymes with Luke). I currently live in Brooklyn, NY but I am from Providence, Rhode Island.

I am a digital marketer & videographer who specializes in social media & video/photo content.

Over the past 6 years I have worked at advertising agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, Havas Worldwide & Carrot Creative (VICE) in New York City.

During this time I have worked on digital & social media analytics, strategy & more for brands like Rolex, IBM, Nationwide, SAP & more.

Two years ago, I began shooting videos so that I could share stories & experiences through food.

This interest in capturing stories of chefs, restaurant owners & more led me to improve my shooting & editing skills over time, to the point where people began to ask me if I did videos for businesses.

Today, I specialize in working with restaurants & hospitality related businesses because their stories still speak to me the most.

I love the feeling of busy kitchens, the sounds of happy diners & the overall happiness that comes from great hospitality.
